Mea Culpa about the Gaming With Verne Last Night!
I wish I could know way ahead of time when I’m not going to make a GWV Night. Last night was one of those times I just couldn’t stick to my schedule. Sorry everyone. I was impressed, though, that so many people were interested in playing Modnation Racers. If I thought that many people were going to be pumped about it I would’ve suggested it earlier.
Well, we’re for sure playing it next week. And I’ll see you all there, believe it ! (or don’t… I may have something going on that day!)
Modnation Racers Tonight for Gaming With Verne
Whoa, we’re back and Holey Moley! We’re playing a new game! Tonight is Modnation Racers on the PS3 at 6:30 PM PST. I heard this was a pretty cool game if you like Mario Kart (who doesn’t?) but want to play as you own character. I’m looking forward to it, Mainly cuz I haven’t played a good racing game in a while.
You guys know the rules: Send a friend request to Schmer1969 on PSN, be polite and have fun. See you all there.
Have a Great Weekend, Everyone… And help me my donating to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Cancer Society
Just a reminder before the weekend to everyone that we’re still accepting donations for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Cancer Society and the new event happening in your area, Light the Night Walks. I hiope that you can take part or at the least donate what you can to the wonderful organization.
On that inspiring not, I hope you all have a great weekend and I’ll see you back here next week. Have a good one!
Super Glue + Silly Putty + Alien Sorcery = Sugru
You know that feeling when you discover something and all you can think about is how much better life would have been if you’d found out about it years ago? That’s the way I feel about driving alone in the car pool lane and that’s how I feel about Sugru.
Sugru works like this: You mold the putty-like substance in to the shape you want and then let it dry over night. the next day your sculpture has turned in to a heat, cold and water resistant rubbery material that adheres to anything while being completely safe to mess with. It’s a do-all material that you can use to fix anything from broken coffee mug handles to leaky pipes. It’s basically from the future. The creator describes it as being a tool to help you hack your everyday life, making things more useful and personal. I totally agree.
I’m looking forward to trying this stuff out on a ton of little things around my house. I’ll have to let you guys know how it works out, but I’m thinking good.
I can’t tell you how much I learned from this video
If there is one thing that the internet has given us it is the ability to look up ridiculous videos of fathers with funny beards disarming their toddlers with karate. At least that’s what I’m usually using the web for.
For instance: I did not know that when you are attacked by someone with a knife you should grab their hand and just shake it. Just keep shaking it until the knife falls out.
Thank you Gavin McInnes, you’ve saved thousands of lives today.
Gaming With Verne – 09/08/10 – Red Dead Redemption
Find more videos like this on Verne Troyer’s Looking Up
Here’s the latest video from our Monday Night Gaming with Verne. We played Red dead Redemption again, mainly because no one was on NCAA football. I understand, though, you’re all mainly European, so I get that.
I added some ways in the video where you can let me know what games you want to play, just let me know (as always, PS3 and no COD are the only stipulations). Special thanks to bigbadwolf for playing along/shooting me in the back on a more than one occasion. Let me know what you guys want to play next week!
Peace!
-Vee
Help me raise money for a good cause
Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you all know about the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society project that I’ve recently started working with, the Light The Night Walks. The focus is on raising money and awareness to fight Cancer.
We’ll be doing a couple of walks in Griffith Park and Woodland Hills in the coming months. It’s a nice way to come together and see the other people who are involved in the fight against cancer. All the information can be found on My Page. Donate if you can and save the dates (Sunday October, 2nd and November 6th) for our awesome night walks. And if you make it out to one of the walks you should definitely drop in and say hello. See you guys there!
Catch me on LA Talk Radio on Sunday 2pm PT/5pm ET!
This Sunday I’ll be on LA Talk Radio on the Give Back Hollywood show with Todd Michael Krim. It’s a great program that does more than it’s fair share to get celebrities in the Los Angeles area to give back to the community. Check them out by clicking HERE.
Take a listen and check me out this Sunday, then right after that I’m going to the Restore Baseball to Inner Cities event put on by the Dodgers. It’s going to be an awesome weekend, I hope you all make the best of it too!
Peace!
Going to the Dodgers B.B.I. Event this Sunday to help make baseball the #1 activity for inner city kids
The R.B.I Program (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) is all about giving youths a great option for what to do when they get out of school. Play some baseball! The RBI Program is one of the largest grassroots MLB programs out there and they do a lot of good for the children in many of the major metropolitan locations.
I’ll be heading out to Dodger Stadium to take part in this year’s event with James Loney and some of the other Dodgers will be throwing a party for the kids of Los Angeles. It’s gonna be great fun. I’ll see what kind of backstage footage I can get you all.
So I started using Fring for my iPhone and I like the direction this is going
Fring is a pretty cool little program that brings together all of your favorite online services like Facebook, Twitter, G-Chat, Last.fm, Skype and other in to one place. It’s pretty cool and I really think that this is the direction that a lot of companies should be looking. You don’t have to be the idealist that creates the social network, but if you can put them all together and make it easier for the little guy, then you’ve got my vote (and my money if you’re good enough).
Check out Fring for the iPhone, it completely free! You can’t beat that deal, amirite?
