We Played Medal of Honor Monday night and it was EXPLOSIVE!
I hadn’t messed with the new first-person shooter, Medal of Honor until Monday Night (sorry about ditching Modnation Racers, but there was a long update to install). And I’ve got to day that I was pretty impressed with the game. It’s got a very realistic feel to the weapons and settings, there are less over-the-top ideas like harrier jets and EMP blasts and more real-life things like RPGs, mortar strikes and 1 shot kills.
I know I’ll be coming back to it in time, just because of how easy it was to pick up and play. they made it easily playable for anyone who’s played Battlefield of Call of Duty. Will it replace those two titles as the best in military FPS-land? Not really, but it was a great time playing it online.

Over Here you can see a collection of pretty cool business cards. I know that sounds pretty boring, but you have to see some of the examples they have. It’s a cool collection that really helps to inspire you if you need to make some of your own.

Amazing Race contestant get watermelon slingshot to the face
I feel so bad for this lady, I mean… that looks extremely painful. But the good news was that she wasn’t hurt more than a severely stinging face. Hopefully she got smacked for a good reason. We’ll find out when the next season of the amazing Race comes out.
But I will say this… this might be my favorite video clip of the year. It already has over 1.8 Million views.
I like Star Wars and making my house look good.
Check out these awesome Star Wars Mobiles that you can get from a dealer on Etsy. If your house needs a little sprucing up but you don’t want to shed your geek credibility then you gotta check these things out. It’s professionally made by artist Andrea Leggitt (SaltyandSweet) and they are very sharp little cut outs (sharp like attractive, not like they’ll cut you).
There are plenty of varieties on her Etsy store like Shadow of the Colussus, Zombies and Ninja versions. Pretty cool and they only cost about $30 each. Give Her site a look.
These people built an underwatter Bubble Room. I think that’s cool.
Saw Scott Pilgrim over the weekend, got to say I liked it.
I’ve never read any of the Scott Pilgrim comic books, but I liked all of the trailers I saw before it came out. And despite everyone jumping off the Michael Cera wagon I still like the guy. So I went to go see the movie over the weekend and I have to say that it won me over. I get that it’s kind of a goofy idea for a movie, a guy has to fight all the exes of his new girlfriends, but when you think about it, since when do people break in to song with choreographed dance numbers in real life? Parts of this movie you have to take with a grain of salt, but once you get in to the mood of the movie it becomes much more fun and entertaining.
Overall, I liked the movie; it was light and goofy and fast-paced. Perfect for a summer action/comedy. I’d see it again.
Gaming With Verne – Choose your own adventure. Kane and Lynch 2 VS Rainbow 6 Vegas 2
For the first time ever I’m going to let you guys choose what game you want to play tonight. Either it’s going to be Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 or Kane and Lynch: Dog Day.
I just got both of them in the mail and I don’t know what you guys are more interested in, so choose wisely on Facebook and let me know what we’ll start with, we can always check them both out!
Mea Culpa about the Gaming With Verne Last Night!
I wish I could know way ahead of time when I’m not going to make a GWV Night. Last night was one of those times I just couldn’t stick to my schedule. Sorry everyone. I was impressed, though, that so many people were interested in playing Modnation Racers. If I thought that many people were going to be pumped about it I would’ve suggested it earlier.
Well, we’re for sure playing it next week. And I’ll see you all there, believe it ! (or don’t… I may have something going on that day!)
