Have a great weekend, everyone.
If you don’t have a great day after watching this then I just don’t know what to tell you. It’s a video of a baby hearing his mother’s voice for the first time after getting a hearing implant. You can’t get any more heartwarming than this.
Here’s hoping that everyone has a top-notch weekend. I’ll just be enjoying some Formula 1 from Canada. Peace!

The Love Guru Blooper, “Now you know what it feels like.”
Just a little blooper from The Love Guru that I threw up on to TwitVid. Check it out and tell me if you think it’s funny.
Let’s get ready for Summer!
Here is a list of 25 water guns that you can either make or buy in preparation for summer. I remember making these things called Water Weenies when I was a kid, It was just a length of surgical tubing filled with water with the tip of a pen cap on the end for the water to shoot through.
Nowadays kids have $150 plastic toys that can flip a car over if they hit it broadside! Crazy stuff.
Whatever you end up getting in to this summer, never shoot for the eyes. It stings!
This guy is one crazy Frenchman!
I think Guillaume Nery is a pretty cool guy, he jumps in to underwater pits and isn’t afraid of lobsters biting him or anything.
Now if I was going to do this I would have to submerge in one of those hyperbaric chambers like in James Cameron’s Abyss. Call me a wuss, but I just don’t think I could manage diving 100 feet under water without a breathing system, fins, a tether rope, a wetsuit, water wings, a scuba mask, a pet dolphin by my side, a boot knife, underwater flares and a spear gun.
In-N-Out expands to Dallas, Texas.
For a burger joint with only 3 meal choices on the menu, In-N-Out has an insane number of fans. One time I took a friend of mine from Australia to grab a burger there and he said his life would never be the same after. They’re that good! These restaurants have only been in California, Arizona and Nevada and Utah since all the burgers come from southern California.
To me and most other Californians this is like saying they’re opening an new Disneyland in Texas. On one hand I’m happy that more people will get to try it out, but on the other… I feel we’re loosing a little of that special magic that made In-N-Out burgers a distinct specialty of the south west.
But maybe I’m just being stupid about delicious hamburgers. Enjoy them out there is Dallas, y’all!
Homer Simpson Voted Top Character of the Last 20 Years. I Agree.
I’m glad to see that America has the common sense to come together and vote to choose one person with the will to be our leader. Homer Simpson. According to Entertainment Weekly, Homer was voted the greatest Television and movie character of the last 20 years.
When you think about it, who could possible go above him? Apparently Harry Potter came in second. And below him was… Buffy the Vampire slayer? Maybe this poll is a little misrepresentative.
Friday!
Hey Everybody! Are you as pumped as I am that it’s Friday already?!
As we move into the weekend, I ask that you keep three things in mind.
#1. If you live in or near St. Joe County in Michigan, go see The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus while it’s playing there! (Or if it’s playing wherever you live, go see it!)
#2. Don’t forget to vote for Best Buddies on Pepsi’s Project Refresh. We have a ways to go, but I think we can still make a difference if we work together.
#3. Make sure your Internet is running smoothly, because on Monday when we play Bad Company 2, I don’t want to hear any complaints about how the only reason I beat you was because you had connection problems! If you haven’t left me your PSN ID yet, you can do it in the comments here, and I’ll invite you to play on Monday.
Alright, everyone, have a great weekend!
Just Another Day In The Neighborhood
Let me set the scene for you: It was a normal night like any other; dark, quiet, calm. Sportscenter lighting up my living room like some sort of fireplace fueled by college basketball highlights. I’m sitting on my couch, warmly nestled in my Snuggie*, then BAM! Explosions all around! Fire, debris, people running for shelter in the streets. Total chaos! It was like World War II and the Apocalypse had a baby right in the middle of my neighborhood. I run outside to see what’s that matter, and the blackness of night has been painted a foreboding orange glow as a vehicle right next to my house was been engulfed in flames. The inferno spread like a wildfire through the neighborhood streets, destroying everything in its path. It was like the gates of Hell had opened and Satan’s minions were tap dancing across my front lawn.
Ok, ok. So I may be exaggerating just a little. Alright…a lot. There was no towering inferno. There was no Apocalypse. And fine, there were no Satan’s minions. But there was a pretty sweet car fire right by my house. Luckily no one got hurt, and there was a wall separating the fire from everyone’s houses, but it was still pretty crazy. Check out the video above, especially around the 25 second mark. That’s when it get awesome.
*I don’t have a Snuggie, but a man can dream, can’t he?
Growing up watching Westerns with my dad.
Find more videos like this on Verne Troyer’s Looking Up
Next up from my “Interview On My Couch” series (the name is a work in progress, but you get it), I talk about how I grew up watching those old “Spaghetti Westerns” with my dad. The Good, The Bad, The Ugly, The Outlaw Josey Wales, things like that.
I have some great memories of those times, and as you will see, it was actually one of those films that planted the seeds of wanting to be an actor in my head all those years ago.
What kind of movies did you all watch when you were kids?
Heading Home
As they say, “All good things must come to an end,” and so ends my amazing trip to South Africa.
I want to say thanks to all the incredible people I met for showing me such an awesome time, and I can’t wait to get back there again. I snapped this picture above when we took a cable car to the top of mountain. It was one of the most amazing sites I’ve ever seen.
If you are reading this sometime between Wednesday and Thursday, chances are that I’m on a plane somewhere over the Atlantic on my way back home. See ya!
This is the view on the way out of Cape Town. Uh-mazing.
